Inspired by the Queen Alexandra Earrings, these bohemian crystal and faux pearl earrings have been a popular design since the 1850's. The original pearl earrings, surrounded by diamonds were designed by Garrard the Crown jeweller in 1863. They were part of the wedding gift that the Prince of Wales (Later Edward VII) gave to his bride Princess Alexandra of Denmark. She wore them often, including her Coronation in 1902. They were passed down through the Royal Family to Queen Mary, who wore them often. When she died in 1953, they were bequeathed to HM The Queen Elizabeth II.
These earrings are made from lead-free pewter and gold-toned. They are embellished with faux pearls and bohemian crystals.

Acid in your skin and fragrances can attack the plated finish and so from time to time you should gently wash the items in your hands with warm soapy water.
Do not use brushes or cloths. Rinse in warm water and dry carefully.
Avoid using Ultrasonic jewellery cleaner which can dislodge the stones.
