This necklace has a locking clasp attached to the back so that it can be also worn as a brooch.
Inspired by a brooch with a central oval pink topaz with a scroll border of cushion-shaped diamonds suspending a detachable topaz and diamond drop mounted in silver and gold and made in about 1860. This was purchased by HRH The Princess of Wales, later Queen Mary, in 1901. This brooch passed to Princess Margaret and was sold at auction in 2006.
Measurements
The central pendant measures 3cm(1.2in) wide by 4.5cm(1.8in) long. The chain is 44cm(17in) long with a 6cm(2.4in) extension.

Avoid using Ultrasonic jewellery cleaner which can dislodge the stones.
